Teach your monster to Read
Homework is a vital part of school life as it provides children with the opportunity to consolidate learning taught within the classroom and to practise key skills which are important to further enhance learning. Whilst we don't want our children spending all evening completing school work, a little bit of home practise goes a long way in supporting progress.
Here at St Issey, we ask our pupils to complete maths homework daily along with daily reading. On a Friday, we swap maths homework in favour of Spellings homework, which gives children the opportunity to practise their set spellings ahead of the test on Monday.
